Actronika Unitouch
Haptic library — ParisPerceive virtual worlds and interact through touch.
Based in Paris, Actronika designs high-quality haptic hardware and software for various fields: video games, automotive, mobile industry, and more.
Haptics is the discipline that explores and exploits the sense of touch. Without realizing it, we experience the world every day through these vibratory stimuli that reach us directly or indirectly.
This library of 8 synthesizers and nearly 800 samples allows us to convey information through signals that reproduce, for example, the sensation of a heartbeat in our chests, the rain falling on our shoulders, the earth shaking under our feet, or the wind blowing at our back.
Primarily intended for video games, this library allows real-time manipulation of synthesizer parameters in order to best match the interactions and variations of the virtual worlds in which players are immersed, in the manner of procedural audio techniques.
In order to facilitate the transition from the prototyping tool (Max) to low-level development, a documentation and visual grammar system has been put in place. This extensible system becomes a valuable communication tool between designer and developer.
